Preventive Mastectomy Index

Featured: Preventive Mastectomy Main Article
Preventive mastectomy is the surgical removal of one or both breasts for the purposes of preventing or reducing the risk of breast cancer. One of two procedures are used during preventative mastectomy: subcutaneous mastectomy or total mastectomy. Whereas the entire breast and nipple are removed in total mastectomy, only the breast tissue is removed during subcutaneous mastectomy.
