Question:Please describe the changes you have made to your lifestyle with preparation for becoming pregnant.

I haven't changed anything much. I don't drink or smoke anyway, and I either go swimming or walk my dog for my daily exercise. The only thing I have changed in preparation is I won't take any painkillers of any sort, don't drink any coffee now and am now taking folic acid. This is the first month in trying to get pregnant.

I have been walking during the mornings and taking my prenatal vitamins.

I had to give away my pet ferret and turtles because their smell made me throw up alot. I changed the way I eat every day I eat sunflower seeds, strawberries and blueberries in yogurt, spinach salad, baked fish. If I eat anything different I get so sick especially if I eat anything that's really sweet or greasy.

I have started to take Folic Acid about a week ago. I am smoking about 2 cigarettes a day and usually smoked about 5 a day. I still need to cut back on alcohol, currently drink about 5-10 drinks a week. I am watching my weight and I am trying to eat healthier. I am also exercising about twice a week. I am 25 and turning 26 in June. My husband is 33 and we are married for 1 year and 3 months. We have been wanting a baby since we got married but I stopped taking oral contraceptives beginning in May.
