How does Parsley work?

Parsley might help stimulate the appetite, improve digestion, increase urine production, reduce spasms, and increase menstrual flow.

Are there safety concerns?

Parsley seems to be safe for most adults. In some people, parsley can cause allergic skin reactions. Consuming very large amounts of parsley can cause other side effects like anemia and liver or kidney problems.

Parsley can cause the skin to become extra sensitive to the sun and cause a rash.

Do not take parsley if:
  • You are pregnant or breast-feeding. Small amounts in food are safe, but larger amounts are not.
  • You have kidney disease.
  • You have high blood pressure.
  • You have any swelling or edema.
