What was the cause of your nausea and vomiting?

I'm new to diabetes and monitoring to see what triggers high levels. Over the past year, I have vomited meals not knowing why. I blamed it on the sensitivity of old age. Now I'm thinking that my glucose level may have been too high. I was up all night vomiting. I checked my glucose level at about 8 am and found it to be 185. That makes me wonder if it was a lot higher when I was sick. No more pizza and soda for me. I've learned my lesson.

Well from this website I have found that my children have a low case of stomach infection. No fever or diarrhea, just the inability to keep anything down. Dry heaving, but that only lasts 6 hours or so. Just pumping them full of fluids even if they can't keep it all down. Thanks for the info.

I have this underlying feeling of nausea but it is not preventing me from eating. Certain smells make me nauseous. Sometimes warm water enters my mouth and makes me want to vomit, although I have only actually vomited once.

I have suffered from nausea every day since I was a toddler and have carried it through to old age. I have had periods of reprieve, but mostly I live with nausea. Most doctors don't understand it and or ignore it. I have been to many, many psychological forms of therapy to no avail.

My gallbladder was removed about two months ago and I have had nausea and vomiting ever since. The doctor told me it could last from two weeks to 10 months. I have Phenergan for nausea, but can only take it at night because it makes me very sleepy, so I can't eat anything during the day at work. I do drink vitamin water without too much nausea and I can drink low fat buttermilk. Pizza makes me vomit even if I take the medications. I realize I had to have the gallbladder removed but, no one told me anything about the nausea after the operation.

For six years I, a strong relatively healthy 29 year old male, have had bouts of vomiting and severe abdominal pain that last about 2 weeks. I have about 3 bouts a year that mostly I can control with visits to the hospital for intravenous fluids and paid meds. Sometimes it goes out of control and is very bad and have been hospitalized 3 times. I have had every test available in Canada and been to 3 different hospitals in two provinces and they are all dumb founded. Help this is ruining my life and my wife and mother are ready for a nervous breakdown. After my third bout 5 years ago I had lost 45 lbs. and could not work for 6 months.
