WARNING: Although this medication and others like it are used to treat certain kinds of irregular heartbeats, they may rarely cause serious (sometimes fatal) irregular heartbeats. USES: This medication is used to treat serious, possibly life-threatening, abnormally fast heartbeats (e.g., persistent ventricular tachycardia). Moricizine belongs to a class of drugs known as antidysrhythmics. It works by blocking the abnormal electrical activity of an abnormal heartbeat so that the normal heartbeat can occur.
