Patient Comments: Molluscum Contagiosum - Experience

Please describe your experience with molluscum contagiosum.

Comment from: supermom, 0-2 Male (Caregiver) Published: July 19

Two of my three children developed molluscum contagiosum. My daughter's lasted about 6 months and cleared up by itself. It stayed in a small area on her chest. My son however had it all over his chest, back, upper arms, buttocks and upper thighs. He developed secondary infections that required antibiotics. It was a nightmare! We had a few warts burned off but the healing took quite a while,it was rather expensive and obviously painful. We eventually used a product called zymaderm. It is a natural remedy, and within 3-4 weeks he was free of lesions after a little more then a year since the appearance of the first spots showing up.
