MINOXIDIL-TOPICAL (cont.)
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. US residents can call the US national poison hotline at 1-800-222-1222. Canadian residents should call their local poison control center directly. This medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
NOTES: At first, hair growth will be soft, colorless and barely visible. With further treatment new hair should be the color and thickness of other scalp hair. Evidence of hair growth may take up to 4 months or longer. If this does not occur, contact your doctor about continuing therapy. If treatment is stopped, new hair will be shed within a few months. This drug is to be used topically only. Accidental ingestion can produce significant side effects. Keep this and all medications out of the reach of children. Do not allow anyone else to use your minoxidil.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use if it is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.
STORAGE: Store at room temperature away from sunlight. Avoid freezing. This product is flammable. Keep it away from fire or flame.
