DRUG INTERACTIONS: Before using this product, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription medications you may use, especially of: heart medications, beta-blockers (e.g., propranolol, metoprolol), MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, moclobemide, phenelzine, procarbazine, selegiline), phenothiazine drugs (e.g., chlorpromazine, thioridazine), medication for blood pressure, adrenaline-like drugs (e.g., epinephrine, norepinephrine, pseudoephedrine), digoxin, caffeine- containing products, theophylline. Check the label of all nonprescription cough, cold or allergy products, as they may contain adrenaline-like drugs such as pseudoephedrine or phenylpropanolamine. Using ma-huang with pseudoephedrine or phenylpropanolamine-containing products may increase the likelihood of serious side effects. Consult your doctor or pharmacist. Ma-huang can interfere with certain lab tests. Make sure that your doctor and lab personnel know that you are using this product.
