HOW TO USE: Take each dose with a full glass of water. This drug may be taken with or without food. Drink plenty of fluids while taking this medication. Take this medication 2 hours before or 4 hours after taking any medications containing magnesium or aluminum. Some examples include quinapril, certain forms of didanosine (e.g. chewable/dispersible buffered tablets or pediatric oral solution), vitamins/minerals, and antacids. Continue to take this medication until the full prescribed amount is finished even if symptoms disappear after a few days. Stopping the medication too early may allow bacteria to continue to grow resulting in a relapse of the infection.

If these symptoms persist or become severe, inform your doctor. Report new pain or tenderness (tendonitis) in arms or legs promptly. If you develop diarrhea while taking this medication, notify your doctor. Do not take any nonprescription medication to treat the diarrhea without first consulting your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: tremors, chest pain, restlessness, nightmares, vision changes, mental/mood changes, ringing in the ears, seizures. This medication may infrequently cause drowsiness. In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek medical attention immediately.
