It is used to prevent and treat the pain of certain medical/dental procedures. HOW TO USE: This medication is applied within the mouth as directed using rubber gloves or gauze so as not to numb the fingers. Do not increase your dose or use this more often than prescribed without your doctor's approval. SIDE EFFECTS: Minor stinging, burning and tenderness may occur when this is first used. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: irritation, rash, redness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
