Lamotrigine (Lamictal, Lamictal CD, Lamictal ODT, Lamictal XR) is a drug used in combination with other anti-seizure drugs for the treatment of partial seizures, tonic-clonic seizures of Lennox-Gastaut syndrome. It is also prescribed for individuals over the age of 18 for the prevention of mood episodes in individuals with bipolar disorder. Side effects, drug interactions, warnings and precautions, and pregnancy information should be reviewed prior to taking this medication.
