I woke up with severe pain around my wrist, numb fingers and a lot of pain when I moved them, all the pain was from my wrist down to my whole hand. I went to the doctor and his diagnosis was gout on top of my hand. Top of hand was swollen and very red and tender. The doctor put me on indomethacin and colchicine and prescription for blood tests to determine my uric acid count. I had a similar attack 15 years ago.
