What complications did you experience with your case of gallbladder pain?

Six years ago I ended up in hospital with inflamed gall bladder after a very painful session of gallstones. Treatment without surgery was successful although medical advice was to have it removed. Instead I followed a dairy free low fat diet and have had no more problems.

I have bad taste in mouth in the morning along with nausea, hungry but can't eat, and only seem to wake up feeling bad. I have shooting pain on right side if sitting and low grade fever first 2 days, all seemed to happen after eating popcorn. The nausea started then, also infrequent elimination of stools, not diarrhea but not normal; I had all these symptoms with gallbladder pain.

I can"t eat meat, fats, processed foods, etc. without getting violently sick. The nausea is almost unbearable and I can"t keep anything down. I have been eating salad for two weeks. I drink protein shakes to prevent muscle loss, taken with a digestive enzyme supplement, which keeps my gallbladder quiet.

I had my gall bladder removed due to sludge in my gall bladder and had lacerations on my liver. Nine years later I still have pain in my chest.

A month ago I underwent open heart surgery. It was for a hereditary problem, I did not have a heart attack. Now though, I am experiencing hot and cold flashes, chills, neck ache, my right rib cage hurts a little, and I have black stools with the diarrhea. I tried to take Imodium to stop the diarrhea. I am wondering if this is gall stones or something else. I take a bunch of medicines, both for diabetes, high blood pressure (with which my BP is low and sugar is low), and heart medicines, etc.

I had my gall bladder removed laparoscopically 2 days ago. My abdomen is inflated to the stage where I look six months pregnant.

I woke up during my gallbladder operation. The surgeon said it was no big deal; lots of people wake up during surgery and to stop being a sissy.
