I'm not definitely sure it is gallbladder cancer, but that is what the surgeon thinks. My mom was jaundiced. The gastroenterologist sent her for an ultrasound. It showed multiple gallstones. Then she had the ERCP done, there was a blockage in her bile duct. A stent was placed in and the doctor brushed the tissue. It is this tissue that showed abnormal cell, or he called them adenocarcinoma. All other CT scans and an MRI showed no signs of cancer anywhere else. The surgeon wanted her to have a standard biliary bypass, but she is not in a good enough condition at this time.
