While using this product, do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any other medicines you are using without your doctor's approval.Some of the products that may interact with this drug include: ACE inhibitors (such as captopril, enalapril), angiotensin II blockers (such as losartan, valsartan), lithium, potassium supplements, certain "water pills" (potassium-sparing types such as amiloride, spironolactone, triamterene).Other medications can affect the removal of eplerenone from your body, thereby affecting how eplerenone works. These drugs include azole antifungals (such as fluconazole, ketoconazole, itraconazole), macrolide antibiotics (such as clarithromycin, erythromycin), nefazodone, protease inhibitors (such as nelfinavir, ritonavir, saquinavir), St. John's wort, verapamil. This is not a complete list.Check the labels on all your medicines (such as cough-and-cold products, diet aids, or NSAIDs such as ibuprofen, naproxen) because they may contain ingredients that could increase your blood pressure or worsen your heart failure.
