Endometrial ablation is a surgical procedure performed to treat abnormal uterine bleeding. Endometrial ablation destroys the lining of the tissues of the uterus. There are several procedures used with endometrial ablation including laser beam, electricity, freezing, heating, or microwave energy. Complications may arise during or after the procedure.
