How does Moringa work?

Moringa contains proteins, vitamins and minerals. It has antioxidant activity which helps to protect cells from damage.

Are there safety concerns?

Moringa leaves, fruit, and seeds are safe when consumed as food. Avoid the root and its extracts. They may contain a toxic substance that can cause paralysis.

There isn't enough information to know if moringa is safe when used for medicinal purposes.

Do not take moringa if:
  • You are pregnant or breast-feeding. Substances in the root, bark, and flowers can cause contractions and abortion.
