USES: This medication is used to treat migraine and other types of recurring, throbbing headaches. This medication is not to be used to treat ordinary headaches.

HOW TO USE: Take this medication by mouth as directed by your doctor. The usual dose is two capsules at the first sign of migraine attack. It will take longer to be effective if you wait until the headache becomes severe to take this. After the initial dose you may take one capsule every 30 minutes until the migraine is relieved. The maximum number of doses for any single attack is six capsules. The maximum number of doses you may take in one week is twelve capsules. Do not use daily on a regular basis. If you reach the maximum number of doses during one attack or during one week and your migraine has not been relieved, consult your doctor. This medication is used to treat a headache once it occurs. It is not effective in preventing a migraine headache from occurring. For best results lie down in a quiet, dark room for an hour or two after taking this to help relieve the headache. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk.

SIDE EFFECTS: Stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, nervousness, frequent urination or constipation may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor promptly. Report promptly: muscle pain, weakness in the legs, tingling or pain in the fingers or toes, fast/irregular heartbeat, blurred vision, dry mouth, painful urination. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: liver disease, kidney disease, heart disease, chest pain (angina), high blood pressure, blood vessel disease, poor circulation, glaucoma, prostate trouble, ulcers, severe infection, any allergies, sensitivity to caffeine. Avoid the use of alcohol while taking this medication. Caution is advised when performing tasks requiring alertness (e.g., driving), since this medication may cause drowsiness. This medication should not be used during pregnancy. If you become pregnant or think you may be pregnant, inform your doctor immediately. It is not known if this medication passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
