I had a cyst on my liver that was found on an ultrasound a couple of years ago. Now a recent ultrasound has revealed multiple cysts all over my liver. I am experiencing bad upper back pain between my shoulder blades and severe neck pain all to the right side. I'm also experiencing pain and heaviness in my right side of my chest and lung. My first cyst was back in middle school on the lower portion of my calf. It seemed to develop overnight and one day while I was in gym class, it erupted and my gym teacher packed it for me. My next experience was a few years ago. After working out daily on my exercise back, I developed one in the crease between my groin area and thigh. Talk about painful. Once again, it seemed to develop overnight. The dr. had to cut and drain it which resulted in me wearing a catheter for several days-couldn't sit straight up at all. I left the bike alone and switched to machines that didn't put so much pressure on that area. Recently, I went back to using the bike to see if I could and started feeling that same pain after working out. No cyst has developed yet and hopefully won't, but no more bikes ever for me. My doctor sent me to have my heart checked at a heart center and they put this checker under my right breast and they discovered a cyst (benign) which measured 4inx2in and weighed 2lbs after surgery because the cyst was on my liver and made my upper abdomen stick out like I was pregnant or something! I have a cyst in the right buttock below the waistline. It started at just the size of a pea, and now it's the size of a silver dollar. This cyst grew over 30 years or so to this size. The next step is to drain and remove it, or just drain it. It bugs me. Was this comment helpful?Yes

I have recurring cysts on my breasts. I typically get one to three a month. Sometimes they go away without draining/popping. They are very painful until they start to rise to the surface. The only thing that helps is a warm washcloth. The doctor has checked them out and unless I want to be on low dose antibiotics daily and forever, there is nothing that can be done. I had a scope done on my right shoulder and when in physio felt like something stretched or ripped when lighting weights. A small lump developed about the size of ping pong ball, but now has grown to the size of a softball in the top of my back, just under the incision. This has happened in about 4 weeks, and the people in physio have taken a picture of it and sent it to the doctor. Was this comment helpful?Yes

I have recently had two seizures within 24 hours, which the neurologist considers one seizure. They were not grand-mal seizures. Through having a cat scan it was found that I have a 4-5 mm cyst on the top of my brain. I was on Dilantin in the hospital, but it was discontinued. My symptoms now include constant dull headaches usually about a 3\10 on the pain scale. I just went for an EEG today, but no results as of yet. My question is, does the cyst just stay there, or do I need it removed. My biggest fear is that it is going to grow.
