COX-2 inhibitors are a class of drugs used for treating the pain and inflammation of conditions such as colon polyps, rectal polyps, menstrual cramps, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and sports injuries. Currently the only COX-2 inhibitor available in the United States is celecoxib (Celebrex). side effects, warnings and precautions, patient safety information, and drug interactions should be reviewed prior to taking any medication.
