OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. US residents can call the US National Poison Hotline at 1-800-222-1222. Canada residents can call a provincial poison control center. Symptoms of overdose may include: change in the amount of urine.
NOTES: Do not share this medication with others.Laboratory and/or medical tests (e.g., eye exams) should be performed periodically to monitor your progress or check for side effects. Consult your doctor for more details.To decrease your risk of spreading HIV disease to others, always use an effective barrier method (e.g., latex or polyurethane condoms/dental dams) during sexual activity. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose of cidofovir, contact your doctor or pharmacist immediately to establish a new dosing schedule. If you miss a dose of the probenecid, tell your doctor or pharmacist immediately. You may have to reschedule your cidofovir dose.
STORAGE: Store unopened vial at room temperature between 68-77 degrees F (20-25 degrees C) away from light. Discard any unused medication after opening.The mixed solution may be refrigerated between 36-46 degrees F (2-8 degrees C) for up to 24 hours. Do not freeze. Bring to room temperature before giving. Keep all medicines away from children and pets.Do not flush medications down the toilet or pour them into a drain unless instructed to do so. Properly discard this product when it is expired or no longer needed. Consult your pharmacist or local waste disposal company for more details about how to safely discard your product.
