USES: This medication reduces excess scaling. It is used in the treatment of scaling scalp conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, cradle-cap and dandruff.
HOW TO USE: This medication is for use on the scalp only. Use as directed, usually twice a week. For best results, wet scalp. Thoroughly massage a small amount of the medication into the scalp to make a lather. Let the lather remain for 3 minutes; rinse. Repeat application and rinse. Apply carefully to avoid contact with eyes.
SIDE EFFECTS: Redness or irritation of the scalp may occur. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. The following may be signs of an allergic reaction to this drug. Notify your doctor if you develop: a skin rash, burning/ inflammation/swelling of the scalp. This medication may discolor light, blond, gray or bleached hair. Use with caution. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor if you have: other illnesses, drug allergies. This medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known if this medication appears in breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may use, especially of: all skin products or shampoos for dandruff or psoriasis. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. US residents can call the US national poison hotline at 1-800-222-1222. Canadian residents should call their local poison control center directly. This medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
NOTES: Do not share this product with others.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as remembered; If it is near the time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.
STORAGE: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. Discard unused medication after expiration date on the container.
