WARNING: Very rarely, people using this medication have had serious, sometimes fatal blood disorders (e.g., bone marrow suppression, aplastic anemia). Chloramphenicol should not be used if safer, effective medications can be used.

USES: This medication is used to treat bacterial eye infections. Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic that works by stopping the growth of bacteria.This medication treats only bacterial eye infections.
