Patient Comments: Chlamydia In Women - Symptoms

What were the symptoms of your Chlamydia?

I was diagnosed last week with chlamydia. It has been a year since my last std test and that one came back all negative. I don't know when I got it or who I I got it from. I've never had symptoms except after I was diagnosed I realized I did have more discharge than usual and I was always very moist between my vagina and anus. I know think these were definitely signs of the infection I just didn't realize it. I hope it's cleared up as I just finished my last day of antibiotics. I have to wait six weeks to go back and get rescreened. I hope that helps, biggest lesson is to absolutely get tested as much as possible. It's better to find out now and fix it.

I had no symptoms and no idea of how long I had chlamydia until I was pregnant and started going to an OBGYN. This was after six years of being with my first and only sexual partner, now ex-husband. Girls please go for regular screenings, it's smarter and safer to check your own health regularly.

One day I just decided to get tested after a little over a year of being sexually active. I didn't have any symptoms but I contracted chlamydia from the first guy I ever had sex with and I felt disgusting and ashamed. I felt like I should've been more careful. Ladies look after yourselves!

About 5 months ago I got out of a long term relationship (4 years), and recently (a few weeks ago) slept with a guy that took me home from the bar. Well, after hanging out with him for a week or two I got pretty suspicious. He spoke about slutty girls and prostitutes (asking if I thought there was any in town). I got really nervous (no condom was used) and went and got a pap test done right away. At that point I had no symptoms, but today I'm really feeling it. The pain reminds me slightly of period cramps with a little burning. I've always had discharge but recently it had turned slightly yellow and has a kind of odd musky odor. Chlamydia confirmed. I got the results today, I've never had an STD and I feel disgusting, gross, gross, gross, gross. Stupid me. I have learned my lesson. Long live condoms. If you're ever suspicious, get tested.

I now have chlamydia and I am going to get it treated Monday (2 days from now). I got it by trusting a guy that really talked me out of using a condom. A couple weeks later me and an ex got back together and I gave it to him (before I knew I had it). I have terrible lower back pain and abdominal pain that keep me up at night. The burning sensation I have when I urinate makes me cry. I will never get this again. My boyfriend and I are both getting cured and he says no matter what he'll never leave me. Even though I gave him an STD he knows I didn't mean it. That's real love.

I was diagnosed with chlamydia yesterday and I'm on antibiotic. I also have a urinary tract infection (UTI). I'm feeling extremely nauseous and light headed.

I have recently been diagnosed with chlamydia/gonorrhea and I also have herpes. I"ve only had 3 partners in my entire life, and I know exactly when I got the herpes, but as for the rest, I"m still a little puzzled. My (current) boyfriend, the one who gave it to me unknowingly, is showing zero symptoms, but I am the lucky one showing every symptom under the sun. Tomorrow is my last day to take my antibiotics but there are no signs of improvement. I have another doctor's appointment on Friday, so hopefully I can either find answers or get more medications. I can deal with the little itchy bumps, but the "painful" urination is an understatement. Protection is key.
