Patient Comments: Chlamydia In Women - Symptoms

What were the symptoms of your Chlamydia?

Comment from: Nataliem, 19-24 Female (Patient) Published: November 15

I was diagnosed last week with chlamydia. It has been a year since my last std test and that one came back all negative. I don't know when I got it or who I I got it from. I've never had symptoms except after I was diagnosed I realized I did have more discharge than usual and I was always very moist between my vagina and anus. I know think these were definitely signs of the infection I just didn't realize it. I hope it's cleared up as I just finished my last day of antibiotics. I have to wait six weeks to go back and get rescreened. I hope that helps, biggest lesson is to absolutely get tested as much as possible. It's better to find out now and fix it.

I had no symptoms and no idea of how long I had chlamydia until I was pregnant and started going to an OBGYN. This was after six years of being with my first and only sexual partner, now ex-husband. Girls please go for regular screenings, it's smarter and safer to check your own health regularly.

About 5 months ago I got out of a long term relationship (4 years), and recently (a few weeks ago) slept with a guy that took me home from the bar. Well, after hanging out with him for a week or two I got pretty suspicious. He spoke about slutty girls and prostitutes (asking if I thought there was any in town). I got really nervous (no condom was used) and went and got a pap test done right away. At that point I had no symptoms, but today I'm really feeling it. The pain reminds me slightly of period cramps with a little burning. I've always had discharge but recently it had turned slightly yellow and has a kind of odd musky odor. Chlamydia confirmed. I got the results today, I've never had an STD and I feel disgusting, gross, gross, gross, gross. Stupid me. I have learned my lesson. Long live condoms. If you're ever suspicious, get tested.

I now have chlamydia and I am going to get it treated Monday (2 days from now). I got it by trusting a guy that really talked me out of using a condom. A couple weeks later me and an ex got back together and I gave it to him (before I knew I had it). I have terrible lower back pain and abdominal pain that keep me up at night. The burning sensation I have when I urinate makes me cry. I will never get this again. My boyfriend and I are both getting cured and he says no matter what he'll never leave me. Even though I gave him an STD he knows I didn't mean it. That's real love.

I had UTI (urinal tract infection) then my partner of over 10 months got epididymitis and got an STD test. Turns out we have chlamydia and he got it off me and I honestly do not know where I got it from but all I can think about is all of those other girls that are getting without knowing. I've had mine for over 11 and a half months. A long time to have it without knowing going to the doctors to get help today.

I actually had no symptoms whatsoever. I requested to have an STD test at my regular gynecologist appointment since I've had a fair number of partners. I don't know who I got it from or when I got it. Just shows how important it is to get tested even if you suspect nothing's wrong. You never think it'll happen to you.

I was with this guy who is now my ex-boyfriend. Him and I been together for a year in a half. We had sex a few times and on the third time we had sex, I had pelvic pain, unusual vaginal discharge that had a weird smell, and lower back pain. I called my OB/GYN doctor and had some test done. While my boyfriend and I were chilling out at my house my boyfriend told me he's slept with several other women behind my back. Then my doctor called and told me I was positive. He prescribed me medication for a week and it went away. Words of advice, always get checked, use safe sex, and don't trust anyone but your OB/GYN and yourself.
