Chenopodium oil contains the chemical ascaridole, which is very toxic. It can irritate the skin, mouth, throat, and lining of the stomach and intestines, and cause vomiting, headache, vertigo/dizziness, kidney and liver damage, temporary deafness, convulsions, paralysis, and death.
