CEFUROXIME SUSPENSION-ORAL (cont.)

DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of all medications you may use (both prescription and nonprescription), especially of: live vaccines, other antibiotics. This drug may interfere with the effectiveness of birth control pills. Discuss using other methods of birth control with your doctor. Diabetics should be aware this medication may cause false positive urine glucose tests. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist about reliable ways to monitor blood glucose. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. US residents can call the US national poison hotline at 1-800-222-1222. Canadian residents should call their local poison control center directly. Symptoms of overdose may include seizures.

NOTES: This medication has been prescribed for this illness only. Do not save it and use it later for another infection or give it to someone else. A different medication may be necessary.

MISSED DOSE: If a dose is missed, use it as soon as remembered unless it is almost time for the next dose. If it is nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume the usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.

STORAGE: After being mixed with water, this drug must be stored between 36 to 77 degrees F (2 to 25 degrees C) away from moisture and sunlight. This drug may be refrigerated. Discard any unused portion after 10 days.
