DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take, including: probenecid, anticoagulants (blood thinners), other antibiotics. This drug may interfere with the effectiveness of birth control pills. Discuss using other methods of birth control with your doctor. Diabetics should be aware this medication may affect certain glucose test results. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist about the best way to monitor your glucose levels. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. US residents can call the US national poison hotline at 1-800-222-1222. Canadian residents should call their local poison control center directly. Symptoms of overdose may include muscle spasms and seizures.
NOTES: This medication has been prescribed for your current condition only. Do not use it later for another infection or give it to someone else. A different medication may be necessary.
MISSED DOSE: If you should miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered unless it is almost time for the next dose. If it is nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose.
STORAGE: Store tablets at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from moisture and sunlight. Do not store in the bathroom. Liquid suspensions should be stored in the refrigerator but not the freezer. Check the expiration date and discard any unused medication after that date.
