Patient Comments: Binswanger's Disease - Treatment

What forms of treatment were used for Binswanger's disease in a friend or relative?

Comment from: Kava, 75 or over Female (Caregiver) Published: September 25

There is a treatment for Binswanger's disease. My mother has been recently treated and cured of it. The doctor drilled a small area in her head and put a thin tube connecting her brain, and the tube reaches her stomach cavity. The excess fluid from the brain gets drained through this tube into her stomach cavity. The tube acts like a nerve that helps drain the excess fluid that accumulates in the brain. Thus the brain is protected from damage. Within a day, I could see the positive change in my mom. I thank medical science for saving my mom's life!
