PREPARATIONS:

  • Cream: 2.5, 5.5, 6, 7, and 10%
  • Gel: 2.5, 4, 5, 8, and 10%
  • Lotion: 2.5,3.5, and 7%
  • Wash: 2.5, 3, 3.7, 4, 4.25, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10%
  • Foam: 5.3, 5.5, and 9.5%
  • Bar: 10%

DRUG INTERACTIONS:

  • Combining benzoyl peroxide with other topical acne treatments such as dapsone (Aczone) can lead to excessive dryness and irritation of the skin.

PREGNANCY AND BREASTFEEDING SAFETY:

Benzoyl peroxide has not been tested in pregnant or nursing women.

STORAGE:

  • Benzoyl peroxide products should be stored at room temperature between, 15 C and 25 C (59 F and 77 F). They should be kept away from excess heat and moisture.
