Consult your doctor or pharmacist about which medications should not be taken with amprenavir. (See also Drug Interactions section.) Amprenavir solution contains propylene glycol to help keep amprenavir in liquid form. Propylene glycol can be toxic to children younger than 4 years old, pregnant women, people with liver or kidney failure, or people taking disulfiram or metronidazole. In those cases, amprenavir capsules should be taken instead of amprenavir solution.
